Representing Team England is certainly worthy of recognition. One of our Project Administrators, Stuart Harris, along with his daughter Paige, did just that. The pair qualified to compete in the World Martial Arts Organisation’s (WMO) World Kickboxing Championships last weekend.
Held in Dublin, the event demands the highest levels of skill, performance and respect. Upholding these values really paid off. We are delighted to announce that Stuart won the silver medal in the ‘Men’s Veterans over 42 years and over 85 kg’ category.
Already in a demanding environment, Paige faced another challenge when her opponent dropped out at short notice. She was moved into a higher age group. At 15, she had to compete against opponents in the ‘Girls age 17 years and under 65 kg’ category. She certainly earned everyone’s respect by coming away with a bronze medal.
It’s amazing what you can achieve with enthusiastic dedication. Many congratulations to them both!
