Injection Moulding

A fast and efficient process for the mass production of identical parts, injection moulding is typically used in the production of components made from a wide range of thermoplastic materials, including elastomeric, glass-filled and metal replacement polymers and compounds.

Injection moulding is a flexible process, used for both low volume prototyping and mass production components. We offer rapid toolmaking for injection moulding in steel and can create the finish you desire with mould tool texturing or laser etching.

Injection Moulding Tooling

We provide a Design for Manufacture (DFM) service, which optimises the component design for the manufacturing process before making the mould tooling.  This early consideration of manufacturing issues shortens product development time, minimises risk and development cost and ensures a smooth transition into production for quick time to market.

Advantages of Injection Moulding

Injection moulding is the ideal solution for mass producing identical parts. When the correct mould has been created and the moulding parameters have been optimised and validated, it is quick and easy to replicate the exact design time and time again.

Moulding Process Optimisation (MPO) is an industry-recognised procedure which ensures maximum consistency of dimensions for your mould tools and a proper processing window.  Using our Scientific Workbook approach, we guarantee consistent parts every time.

Our commitment to MPO makes injection moulding ideal for highly regulated markets such as medical, automotive and aerospace, where rigorous quality assurances are required.

How Can We Help You?

As soon the tooling and processes are finalised and validated, we can also undertake your injection moulding, from low volume runs through to full scale production of 1 million+ parts.

We offer cleanroom manufacture where required in 10k or 100k cleanrooms. We also have the capability to offer over-moulding and twin-shot solutions. You can rely on us to support the production of the smallest medical parts through to large automotive interior trim components.

Our knowledge and experience allow us to provide you with a complete service from project concept through to final production, with batch documentation, manufacturing to ISO9001 and ISO13485 protocols and full metrology capabilities.

We have a wealth of experience and expertise in providing validated parts with properties that meet your specific requirements, so get in touch today on: 01945 411700.
