Graphcore is opening new opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning through its semiconductor technology. When it came to producing the casing for its ground-breaking AI chips, the company sought a partner who could deliver on the exacting design and engineering requirements for this precision application.


FRP employed its Full-Service Rapid Manufacturing (FSRM) process to accelerate the production of the metal casework and plastic tiles to the tight tolerances specified, including minimal draft for the injection moulded components.


As well as being able to realise Graphcore’s unique designs, the right-first-time accuracy of the FSRM process meant Graphcore was able to avoid additional development time and cost in the long term.
